Device statuses provide critical insights into the health, functionality, and connectivity of devices within your fleet. Understanding these statuses enables efficient troubleshooting, improved operational oversight, and enhanced overall system performance.
Device Statuses
- Active - Devices in the "Active" status are fully operational. They are powered, online, and continuously connected to the cloud.
- Standby - Devices in "Standby" mode are powered but operating in a low-activity state. This mode is designed to conserve power and can be exited remotely via specific wake-up triggers. Devices typically enter this status when the vehicle is stationary for an extended period.
- Not Connected - Devices in "Not Connected" status are offline and unable to communicate with the system or respond to remote wake-up commands.
Wake Up Reasoning
Devices can transition from standby to active states due to specific wake-up triggers, including:
- Button Press: A physical button press on the device activates it.
- Cloud Wake Up Message: A remote command sent from the cloud initiates activation.
- Accelerometer Movement: Device wakes up when significant movement is detected.
- Car Battery Voltage Spike: A voltage increase above 13V triggers activation.
- Hardwire Ignition Cable: Device is activated when ignition is detected via the hardwire ignition cable.
