The RZ1 Auxiliary Input Accessory lets the RZ1 detect when external equipment or systems draw power.
By connecting power or signal lines to IN-1 (Yellow) or IN-3 (Brown), the RZ1 can log a safety event whenever voltage is present.
This allows fleet managers to track activity such as equipment use, auxiliary system operation, or manual triggers.
How It Works
Each digital input monitors voltage on its line:
-
LOW = no voltage detected
-
HIGH = 9–24 V detected (active)
When the input goes HIGH, the RZ1 generates a Digital In 1 or Digital In 3 event in the platform. These events can include video or image attachments.
Common use cases
- PTO activation
- Push button triggers
- Door or hatch open/close detection
- Auxiliary lights or siren activation
- Tow, winch, or spreader operation
- Refrigeration or pump system monitoring
